Olympchess Goes Global – Full English Version Is Live!
We promised it was coming. Today, we're thrilled to announce: the full English version of OlympChess is live and now the default language of the website!
Why English?
The "Great Book of Chess Olympiads" series by Krzysztof Puszczewicz is a one-of-a-kind achievement – the only complete chronicle of every FIDE Chess Olympiad ever held. Until now, only two volumes have been published in English (London 1927 and The Hague 1928), while the rest of the series has remained available only in Polish. We're changing that.
First Release: 1st Chess Olympiad – London 1927 (2nd Edition)
We will soon publish the 2nd edition of the monograph on the 1st Chess Olympiad in London 1927. The first edition was released over a decade ago – in both Polish and English. Now we're back with a thoroughly expanded and updated version, enriched with new materials and analyses.
London 1927 is where the entire history of FIDE Chess Olympiads began – and it's the volume that relaunches our English publishing line.
Format: PDF – But What About Other Formats?
The English edition will be released in PDF format, consistent with our existing Polish editions. However, we know many readers prefer tablets and e-readers, so we want to hear from you.
Should we also offer ebooks in mobile-friendly formats (e.g. EPUB, MOBI)?
Your feedback will directly influence the direction of the series. Drop us a line at books@olympchess.com
What's Next?
The English 2nd edition of London 1927 is just the beginning. Already waiting in the pipeline is the 2nd Chess Olympiad – The Hague 1928 – also coming in a new, expanded English edition. We plan to systematically release more volumes in English, opening the "Great Book of Chess Olympiads" to a new, global audience.
Follow our blog and newsletter – we'll keep you updated on every step of the journey.
